Luca's Surgery at the Childrens Hospital

Luca had his surgery on May 21 , this is him in the pre op hold area, he was so brave and all the nurses and his Doctor were great.

This is his foot right after he came out all swollen.

He was in an extreme amount of pain from the surgery so they started him on a continuous morphine infusion, at the max dose. After screaming for an hour the morphine finally kicked in and he was able get some sleep. His nurses were also so helpful , they were so fun and kept him so happy. He is such a trooper. His surgery took 3 hours and the Doctor had to do a few more things. He has 4 incisions and she was able to do all the tendon transfer. He will be in a lot of pain for a while. but the outcome will be great.

Grant go the pleasure of staying overnight with him, in the nice recliner. Luca is pretty attached to his dad so it was nice that I got a break .

we got to go home later that evening, when they weined him off the morphine and on to liquid codeine. I'm glad eveything went so smoothly and that he is home.
